The City is unable to act on abandoned vehicles that are located on private property and we are unable to act on any vehicles that have not been in the location for less than 24 hours. We are responsible for following up on abandoned vehicles on any public road other than a Main Roads WA authorised road. Due to the process involved with vehicles (including contact with the Department of Transport) it may take up to 10 days for a vehicle to be removed. To report an abandoned vehicle you will need to tell us the exact location of vehicle, how long the vehicle has been abandoned in this location and details of the vehicle, for example colour, body type, registration number if possible.
